The probably biggest scandal of 2010 is already in the making, having been literally carried over from 2009.

A former singing contestant and talented to boot, is now with child. Not so scandalous? Well, the father of the child is a local musician married to a well known personality.

The affair started when the two artistes began performing together. (We hope we haven’t given it all away).

The gospel artiste who raised eyebrows when he collaboed with ragga singer Elephant Man may be performing in Kenya and Uganda in January, according to word on the street..

Stitchie (pictured above with Luciano) is expected to arrive on January 6 and will fly out to Kampala for a January 8^th concert before he jets back in the country for a performance on January 10^th.

Organizer Cedrick Todwell said, “It’s an incentive to all gospel music lovers and more, so Stitchie fans should come in masses to watch him perform.”

A local based Christian University is said to have questioned two of its students about their involvement in Shuga, the hard hitting drama that got most TV viewers talking about in the last few weeks.

The two male actors who played major roles in the drama are said to have been summoned and sources say risk being suspended. The University's administration is said to have told the two that their roles in Shuga portrayed a negative image of the University.

Sources say the two, who are busy doing their semester examinations, are not sure whether they will be suspended for portraying what the University further termed as 'immoral'.

On the other hand, sources close to MTV say the music channel is anxiously waiting to see how the University handles the matter before taking any action.

MTV chose Nairobi as the backdrop for the hard-hitting new TV drama series that aims to blow the lid off reckless sex lives of young Kenyans and their partners. The drama series was part of a pioneering multimedia campaign called MTV Staying Alive Ignite- designed to motivate sexually active youth and young adults with hopes of modifying their sexual behavior.

Following her recent reconciliation with hubby singer Moses Ssali a.k.a Bebe Cool, Zuena Kirema has allegedly quit her part time job at K- files aired at Uganda's W.B.S television every Wednesday evening. Zuena had joined her longtime friend Karitas to do the show where the former was working as an overseer for the time she had left her marital duties approximately a year ago.

Zuena handed in her unclear letter of resignation at w.b.s last Thursday for reasons we haven’t yet established but rumor is that Bebe is the main reason to why her sexy wife called it quits.

“Bebe told his wife to quit the show so as she could take care of the children because the show requires her to travel up and down and it demands a lot so she had to quit because the job was overshadowing her motherly duties.” our source Said.

Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo aka D’Banj aka The Koko Master will be back again in Dar es salaam by the end of this week to perform at the “STR8MUZIK FESTIVAL – Inter-College Special 2009″ bash at the Tanganyika Packers Grounds in Kawe.

After mesmerizing Tanzanian music fans at the “MTV Road to Mama” Party in Dar es Salaam last October, the Nigerian crooner is set to rock the stage on 28 November 2009.

The Koko Master is riding high with his third album, “The Entertainer”with Smash Hit singles Gbono Feli Feli (Fall in Love), Kimon, Olorun Maje and Entertainer.

Other performing artists booked for the show are; Mangwair, T.I.D, Quick Racka, Belle 9, Marlaw, Ray C, Q Chillah, THT, Best Friend, Nonini, Jua Cali, Nameless, and two surprise artists.

In what will be a first in the Kenyan music scene, raga maestro Redsan will host an album party next month and will have Jamaican beauties and dancehall's dynamic female duo Brick and Lace curtain raise for him.

Our source claims, “The launch will be on December 12 but the venue isn’t confirmed yet. What we know for sure is that Brick and Lace will be performing.

”This will be the ‘Step On It’ star’s fourth album, released under Dutty Sounds Records. His other three are Seasons of the Sun released in 2002 under Ogopa DJs’ label, Red in 2004 under South-West Records, and Pioneer released in 2006.

It is notable, however, that on the Brick and Lace official website there is no mention of the upcoming launch.

He was elusive and did not confirm the rumor, but word on the street has it that celebrity footballer Dennis Oliech has a baby mama.

After leaving Nyayo Stadium on Saturday where Harambee Stars was playing Nigeria’s Super Eagles, he was out all night partying with friends in Westlands.

And on arriving at Galileos for Sauti Sol’s concert, Oliech went to the VIP area where he had some drinks with some female friends.

A source told us that one of the girls who shared a table with the Kenyan internationl striker was mother to his son.

When we approached Oliech, he said he does not discuss such issues, at least not in such forums.

Ugandan singer Rachel Kiwanuka who is in California is likely to break into the global scene if her latest single with two internationally acclaimed recording artistes makes it to the billboard charts.

Rachel K revealed to UEG that she had done featured R&B singer Keri Hilson and Grammy award winning Senegalese star Akon in her latest single.

''We just finished recording the song with Akon and Keri Hilson. The single is titled ''Oh Africa '', she said speaking from Califonia.

Rachel Kiwanuka left Uganda 10 days ago for what she termed as a working vacation in the States.

Rachel, who few months ago told UEG that she was branching into rock music, lives with her brother Hemdee Kiwanuka in Califonia.

Hemdee is a renowned promoter who has flown to Africa many top American music stars for concerts in Uganda and Tanzania.

He is believed to have linked Rachel to Keri Hilson and Akon as he is well connected in America's showbiz.

Rapper Cannibal, who returned home on Wednesday (11.11.09) after spending 12 days in South Africa, will host a TV crew from Channel O this Saturday (14.11.09).

Cannibal was nominated for a Channel O Video Music Award but failed to bring one home. He however revealed to us that he has been booked for an interview.

''The Channel O TV crew jets into the country on Saturday (14.11.09) for my interview. They were really impressed with me and now want to feature my lifestyle here in Kenya on TV," he said.

Cannibal however revealed that he did not succeed to pin down any record deal with any South African record label.

Christine Apondi, the Idols contestant who prompted the harshest criticisms from judges on the show, is engaged.

The Mombasa Roots back-up vocalist has been having a quiet time with her British fiance who flew down to the Kenyan Coast last weekend.

Christine was spotted leaving Bella Vista Club on Sunday (Nove8) afternoon hand in hand with the man she confidently introduced to us.

Christine and Mike are believed to have met online. Not too long ago, the two held a low-key engagement party in Mombasa.

Mike and Christine are expected to marry next month and are busy planning their wedding.
