fter landing a record deal with Norwegian leading Record Label KKV last week, Suzanna Owiyo now says she is exited about the new deal. “It is not always easy for an artiste to get recognition to a level of clinching a record deal with a leading label.

These things don’t just happen and when they do, it certainly occurs to you that you are hitting new levels,” she told UEG.

The new record deal came about after her successful tour in Norway early in the year to launch Imagine Africa album that features East Africa Musicians. Her manager Dudu Sarr of Motherland Music accompanied her.

The record label flew in a sound engineer to mix her new album together with Jesseh Bukindu of Ketebul studios.  She has worked with different local producers also including Robert Kamanzi and Dave Mobb Otieno. The new album is set for release between September and November both locally and internationally.

“I am not in a position to disclose how much the deal is worth. It is some sort of a partnership deal,” she added.
