South Coast-based musician Malcolm P passed on yesterday morning at Jocham Hospital in Mombasa due to injuries he sustained in a road accident.
Malcolm passed away in his younger brother’s arms at around 4:30am after fighting for his life for nearly three days.
His brother Collins Kunje told UEG that Malcolm experienced difficulty breathing and was vomiting before he died.
“He slept very late on Tuesday night and experienced difficulty in breathing. At around 3 in the morning he began vomiting. He passed away in my hands as I was holding him.”
Collins said Malcolm might have had a premonition of his death when he told members of his family that “I want to rest. I am tired and feel so much pain. I want to go away.”
The administration of Jocham Hospital confirmed that Malcolm had passed away but did not divulge details on what could have led to his death.
Malcolm was involved in a road accident on Saturday night when he was heading to his entertainment establishment, Kings Club, to celebrate his 35th birthday.
Coast musicians have expressed their condolences including Nyota Ndogo, Beyonce and Kingsting who described his death as a huge loss to the entertainment scene at the coast.
Malcolm leaves behind two wives and three children.
