Macy Gray & Damien Marley for Nairobi

Gatwich Records, the music label owned by Sudanese Kenyan Emmanuel Jal and that has produced successful gospel act Juliani, recently announced plans to host a festival in December.

The Gatwitch Festival dubbed 'Nourishing Africans' talent from aspiring youth to change makers ' is based on the idea of gathering talent from around the world, people who are opinion makers in their fields of work, in addition to leading musicians. They are also hoping to tap into the vast local talent and reveal them to a global market.  For the leading experts in their industries the event will be a great networking opportunity; while for younger audience it will present a chance to get mentored and inspired.

The event scheduled  Dec 2-4 this year will be held at KICC. There will various vendors, exhibits and info booths.They are targeting an audience of 5,000-15,000 people. Some of the big names expected to perform at the festival include Macy Gray and Damien Marley. So far Tribe Hotel has confirmed as the official hotel sponsor and after party host for  the celebrities attending and other guests.
