Barely two weeks after releasing their gospel single, word in Mombasa is that gospel singer Gabriel tried to push Afro-fusion singer Mwanaisha Abdalla aka Nyota Ndogo into Christianity.

Nyota Ndogo has repeatedly denied allegations that she had converted to Christianity. The singer used all the available means she could get to pass the message clear that she was still a staunch Muslim.

Speculation began when Nyota (pictured above)appeared in the gospel single titled 'Mwachie Mungu' by Mombasa gospel artist Gabriel Mwamuye(with Nyota above). Nyota's ex husband K-shot Gambo told UEG that Gabriel had tried to preach to the singer about Jesus Christ but failed.

''I heard that Gabriel said on Baraka FM that he tried in vain to see Nyota get saved,'' said K-shot. But UEG contacted Gabriel who denied the allegations saying he never tried to push the singer to salvation.

''I was on radio yes but never said that. I only talked about the song and I never tried to push Nyota to salvation. I respect her and her religion. All this talk is in bad taste,'' he said.
