A veteran Bongo Flava hip hop artiste, G.Sollo, has authored a book about the Tanzanian music genre.

The book titled ''Harakati za Bongo Flava na Mapinduzi" will be launched in February.

In the book, the rapper speaks about the sweet and bitter sides of Bongo Flava music and has also written an open letter to President of Tanzania Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete.

''I've penned down what the normal music fan does not know about the music industry and the hardships music stars go through,'' he told TV presenter Dula, who hosts Planet Bongo on EATV.
