Former Miss World Kenya 2005 Cecilia Mwangi was on Friday honored with Young Achiever’s Award by the Women Students Welfare Association (WOSWA), an initiative of the University of Nairobi. This was in recognition of her fight against jiggers.

Young Achiever’s Award is the third award Cecilia has received in a span of two months, the first of which was a Global Leadership and Management Award from USAID, followed by a Service Award from JKUAT.

The award ceremony, held at Intercontinental Hotel, was attended by among others Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s wife Ida Odinga and Maendeleo ya Wanawake chairperson Mrs. Rukia Subow.
