Inside scoop on Wyre's wedding Kevin ‘The Love Child’ Wyre got hitched to his longtime sweetheart Hanifa last Friday at an invite-only ceremony at the Safari Park Hotel. The bride, who was born a Muslim but has now converted to Christianity, rolled up in a black limo.
An hour before her arrival Wyre was spotted nervously pacing up and down the hotel gardens.
This mood might explain why fellow celeb Mr. Lenny got his invite at 6am on the day of the wedding- we are just saying.
Despite Mr. Lenny’s late invitation, the wedding was a star-studded affair. As well as the celebs dotted amongst the 1000 guests, the groomsmen and the MCs were all well-known personalities.
Wyre’s best man was his long-time friend Ian Wainaina , who has cut his long hair and now spots a short crop.
Others who were part of the bridal party included friend and producer Ulopa , back-up dancer Qqu and the MC for the evening, Nyambane , who was dressed in a prisoner’s uniform.
The service was held in the hotel gardens and the reception took place in the Samburu Ballroom right by the hotel’s poolside.
As Hanifa, who works as air crew on Kenya Airways, walked down the aisle with her parents, Wyre sang his own composition, ‘Jewel’ , for her.
Neema Ntalel and Sarah Mitaru , backed by Aaron Rimbui on keyboard, led the congregation through the praise and worship session at the beginning of the service.
At the reception security was tight and each guest had to show their invitation card and confirm his or her names from the guest list.
The climax of the wedding was the cutting of their two cakes, a four-tier wedding fruitcake courtesy of Safari Park, and beautiful white-and-blue five-tier wedding cake from outside.
Uniquely, the bottles of mineral water placed at each table carried Wyre and Hanifa’s names on the labels, a keepsake for those who fancy such stuff.
The entertainers who performed at the reception for the couple were Kayamba Afrika , Kanjii Mbugua , Eric Wainaina , Nameless , Mr. Lenny and Wahu .
Comedian Churchill performed stand-up comedy.
The evening party took place at the Safari Cat’s Club
WE wish the newly weds ALL THE BEST in their new life

Buzz Magazine Article Dec 28th..Dj Rezza Blade
Tell us who you are? I am an event organizer, a promoter, a DJ and a web designer. That makes me an overall entertainment professional.
Who have you produced and how successful are they? I have worked with Clemmo of Calif Records as well as Robba of Scratch Records. I was also a secular music producer at Still Alive Records in Eldoret. The list of the people I have produced is very long but I will tell you a few. I have worked on songs for Abbas, Baby G, Ousmane, Jah Lyric and Daddy V who is in the US. All these are big artistes in their own right.
But you had a bad fall-out with Abbas? Yes and it is sad because he is someone I thought I knew since we grew up together. However, I am not one to hold grudges so I will leave it to him to come and sort it out. He knows what he did was wrong when he failed to honor shows that we had agreed on and even paid for.
Tell us about Southern Sudan? I went to Southern Sudan for the first time in April. I was invited by a group known as Kuzoos Klan whom I had produced in Kenya and were going to launch their album there so I thought why not. When I got there I was impressed with the numerous opportunities and decided to try doing something there.
What exactly did you start with? First, I must say how accommodating the people in Juba are to Kenyans. I think it is to do with the fact we are the only country that welcomed them with open arms during their hardest times. Anyway, my first job was at Capital FM radio station in Juba where I was the production manager for four months before I got in to events.
What events? While on Radio, I noticed that the Sudanese really loved Kenyan music and thought that it would be a good Idea to try and do live events where they can see these artistes. In October we managed to take Nameless for two events in Juba. He performed at Juba Beijing Hotel and Executive Joint and the reception was just great. I was encouraged by the reception and I plan to give other Kenyans those opportunities.
Who is in the pipeline? We are already working on taking Redsan and Ali Kiba to Juba in February. East African Bashment Crew is also popular there so we are working on that as well. There will be more opportunities for Kenyan artistes in 2009.
We hear you are planning to start a Radio Station? Yes but it is not my station. It is actually a friend who is moving back from Australia. He has bought the equipment and he wants me to help with running it. It will be called Uusya Youth FM and my dream is to try and push for Kenyan music through the station. It is time our music went regional and I believe I can help with that.
You also organize shows for Kenyans in the US? Yes, I work very closely with Lloyd Onsunga’s Umoja Entertainment and Jojo’s of Kilimanjaro Entertainment. I am like their local agent and I have been able to broker shows for Jua Cali, Jaguar, Nameless and Nyashinki to perform in the US. I am also currently working with Mo Faya Entertainment in Finland to see if we can organize events for Kenyans in the Scandinavian countries and the rest of Europe.
What do you get for all these? As you can see, I am an all round showbiz person so this is my life. I earn a living from it which is a plus but I also have a dream to play my small role in helping our music go International.
Name: DJ RezzaAge: 28 years oldJob: Event Organiser, DJ, promoter and wed designerEducation: Diploma in Music, Production and Web DesignFavorite Artistes: Nameless, Jahmani and Jah Lyric

Z Anto and Temba tie knot
It seems that the wedding season for East African celebs is far from over. Just a week after CMB Prezzo tied the knot in a classy garden wedding, the bug has bitten bongo stars Mheshimiwa Temba (pictured left) of TMK Wanaume and Z-Anto .
The two musicians tied the knot with their sweethearts over the weekend. Z-Anto walked down the aisle with the beautiful vixen who plays deaf in the ‘Binti Kiziwi’ video while Temba married his high school sweetheart.
The TMK Wanaume leader’s wedding took place at Sinza, Dar es Salaam on Saturday. According o Temba, over 1200 people attended the wedding. “We had invited only 800 but more came to wish us well,” says Temba. Among the well wishers was former friend turned foe Juma Nature and his break-away group Wanaume Halisi, Dully Sykes and Banana Zorro .

Konvict Message!
TID was released from prison on Tuesday following a presidential pardon on petty offenders. He was serving a one year jail term.
But The TID who went in is not the same person who came out. There are reports that he was raped and victimized while incarcerated for the four months he served.
Now TID says he has a life message for the youth and all Tanzanians in general.
“It’s been really tough in there but I’ve learnt a lot. I used to think I knew much about life but it seems mine is only beginning,” he said at a press conference on Wednesday.
While behind bars, TID broke the silence on his stay in prison through the song ‘Siwezi’, a single he recorded three weeks before he went to prison. This is the first song from his upcoming album Prison Voice.
In a statement printed on the makeshift album cover of the single, TID stated: “I am still in jail and life is terrible. This is my fourth month and although many people inside here have lost hope because life is so hard, I have written new songs explaining how I got into this mess. I believe the public should be made aware of the reality of the conditions of prisons in Tanzania and, having experienced it myself, I am now able to make people sit up and listen so that they understand how life is in jail in this country. Please support my attempts to tell my story by playing my songs.”

TID is finally free!
Bongo artiste TID was released on Tuesday after serving less than half of his one-year sentence.
His release had nothing to do with him or his status. He just happened to ride on a wave as a result of presidential pardon for all petty offenders by President Jakaya Kikwete to mark Tanzania ’s Independence Day.
Friends and close relatives picked him up at 1pm from the gate of Segerea Prison where he was imprisoned for assaulting a man in 2007
